For Your Eye Exam, Call Us First

We recommend each person receive an annual eye exam to ensure their vision quality remains the highest quality possible. This is also a good time for our team to work closely with you to ensure any eye conditions or diseases you have are properly monitored. When you come in for an eye exam, our team will provide a comprehensive exam including vision acuity testing and eye health evaluations.

If you need a prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, we’ll provide it to you. Oxford Optometry also helps you manage any eye condition you have, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.

Effective November 1, 2004 the Ontario Ministry of Health changed the coverage for eye care services in Ontario. Currently, OHIP provides partial coverage for the following groups, with Oxford Optometry subsidizing the cost of care:

  • Children aged 0 to 19 years - One full eye examination annually.
  • Seniors aged 65 and above - One full eye examination annually.
  • Adults aged 20 to 64 years ONLY with certain medical conditions - One full eye examination annually for people with certain medical conditions.
